During August One of the large events in America known as PAX Prime, happened. The Penny Arcade Xpo (PAX), has various eSports tournaments also. Taking place August 26th to 28th, there were over 50 games having tournaments through the 3 days. Between Tabletop, PC games, Console games, and Handheld games, there were lots of tournaments. Some of the games represented here were League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike On-Line Edition, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, Mario Kart 3DS, Super Smash Bros. For an official organization some of the advanced teachers of Hapkido petitioned the authorities of Korea in the 1960's. The Korea Kido Association (KKA) was granted a charter by the Korean Ministry of Education on September 2, 1963. Supervise the standards of teaching for Hapkido, and for thirty other martial arts and the KKA was authorized to regulate the standards for promotion. Yong Shul Choi was it's ç¿»è¯ç¤¾ first chairman, with Han Jae Ji and other Korean masters as Board of Directors members.
Hapkido is a martial art which was started in Korea by its' èç¾å³¶ creator, Yong Shul Choi. Choi was born in the town of Yong Dong, near Taegue, korea history in 1904; about his five years before the Japanese began their occupation of Korea. Choi became at the age of nine or eight and was taken to Japan to be assigned work. He eventually came to work for Sokaku Takeda è¶åæ°å¨ (1860 - 1943), the 32nd patriarch of Daito Ryu Aikijitsu.
